About Me

..

When God Invades Earth

Suddenly, God invaded my moment of time. Suddenly, in one moment, my “theology” changed. In 1997, while I was a missions director and later became associate minister of a church in Columbia, MO, with lots of perceived ideas and religious concepts, my view of God changed. Instead of living a life of Christian principles, doctrine, and theological beliefs, my life was radically changed. What I “believed” was replaced with what I “experienced”. God was no longer Someone who wrote a Book and left us to live by faith mostly struggling and questioning and wondering why and when. Instead, He became a real person. His presence was unimaginable and full of joy. I no longer had to live by a set of rules and regulations, which I knew I could never live up to, but I was suddenly free and His Word became a love letter to me, which I was suddenly able to “drink” from with insatiable desire.

When God invades a human life what others think no longer matters. A person’s lack of experience is no gauge to deduce whether or not God exists. Standing alone at midnight with only the moon shining is no way to decide whether or not the sun exists. You may not have experienced the sun before. But, when the sun rises, the moon begins to pale in comparison and suddenly the sun becomes real. In like manner, when God reveals Himself to a person, His glory and His presence become more real than life itself and a person’s lack of experience is no issue. You are no longer threatened by someone’s else’s opinion or beliefs. Other religions are no longer a threat and we are free to love completely without hatred or anger. When you look into Jesus’ face and He smiles at you, what others say doesn’t matter anymore.

God Bless,

Dave

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

We are living in changing times. Borders between countries are disintegrating. World Powers are changing. The Economy is changing. Is the Church changing with it? Will the Church have the Solution? Or will it be part of the Problem? Will the Church have the stability that will be needed in the days ahead to change people's lives?
