Il découvre la musique à l'école, en utilisant ses talents vocaux lors de concerts scolaires.Par la suite, il devient professeur de musique. Sa carriere artistique décolle alors puisqu'il participe à de nombreux concerts en Jamaïque au coté de Culture, Jimmy Cliff et Gregory Isaacs.Black Thunder arrive à Montego Bay où il travaille avec le band Reggae Vibrations. Il enregistre alors une série de chansons dont une: "It's better to love" sera classé numéro 1 et restera pendant 8 semaines dans le Top 10 de la station de radio nationale JBC en Jamaïque. Il entreprend ensuite une série de concert à travers le monde qui le conduira au Japon, Etats-Unis, Canada, Haïti, Iles Grenade, Bahamas.
Il revient en Jamaïque à la fin des années 90 et retourne en studio pour enregistrer deux albums: "Where is that love" et "World crisis" qui connaissent un certain succès en Jamaïque, en Angleterre, en Italie et dans les Caraïbes.En 2003 Black Thunder participe à une tournée dans les Caraïbes aux côtés de Beenie Man, Silver Cat, Vibes Cartel et Culture. On le découvre également cette année là au Reggae Sumfest à Montego Bay en Jamaïque.En juillet 2007, il éffectue au côté de Frankie Paul une série de concert au Gabon, en Gambie et au Sénégal suite à une invitation par le président gambien.
Installé depuis peu en France, Black Thunder s'investit sur la scène européenne en multipliant les concerts et les collaborations avec des sound system locaux comme le Jahwed Sound et le backingband jamaïcain THE HUMAN RIGHTS & JUSTICE BAND.

CECIL TAYLOR aka BLACK THUNDER singing name, producer, guitarist, song writer, singer, born in May Pen Clarendon (JAMAICA). He started his music carrior in school. When attending he went to the music classes and from there he get some of his experience and he started to sing in school and he utilise his talent on many concert.
After he graduate from school and he utilse his talent on many concert working with many top artist including CULTURE. He work with JIMMY CLIFF, GREGORY ISAAC. Then he leave Clarendon, went to Montego Bay to futher utilise his talent and he hock with a band by the name REGGAE VIBRATIONS and he started to work with the band in clubs and hotels inn around Jamaica.
Then after he went in the studio and recorded couples songs which turn out to be very good and chart one of the song by the name of "IT'S BETTER TO LOVE" which come number one and JBC radio station top ten chart for 8 weeks.
Then from there he started to tour his first trip was in JAPAN, then to the US, to CANADA, HAITI, GRANADA, BAHAMAS and come back to Jamaica in the 90's and go in the studio to record an album "WHERE IS THAT LOVE" and WORLD CRISIS". This album do good in ENGLAND, EUROPE, CARRIBEAN also in JAMAICA. He tour in 2003 with BEENEMAN, SILVER CAT, VIBES CARTEL, and JOSEPH HILL from CULTURE, he went to HAITI, GRANADA, BERMUDES and then back in Jamaica 6 concerts including REGGAE SUN FEST. Then he go back in the studio to finish his album. After he went back to the US, traveling around Detroit, doing shows, went to Miami, Florida, West Virginia, Orlando, Chicago to promote his album.
In june 2007, he make a tour in Africa (Gabon, Senegal, Gambia) with FRANKIE PAUL, for gambian president birthday..
Right now, he live between north of FRANCE, BELGIUM and Jamaica. He continue to promote his album with concert and shows with european sound systems like JAHWED SOUND SYSTEM and jamaican backing band THE HUMAN RIGHTS & JUSTICE BAND.
