About Me

ABOUT ME? Hmmm, I'm a rocker chick with a country side. I love to throw the metal horns, bang my head and pound my fist in the air. I love to take in a great concert with my friends or just hang out with the local bands(most of which I know and I support the majority of them).I love to go mud bogging up at Hall's Ridge or down at Black River when I'm back in the great state of Virginia. I am a huge football fan.....I have always supported the Jets but even more so now that Mr. Bret Favre is on the roster!I am the proud mother of three handsome little boys, aged 7, 6 and 2. They are the light at the end of the long dark tunnel. My oldest is all about cars, trucks, ATVs and FOOTBALL. He loves his music loud and it has to ROCK...I guess he comes by that honestly seeing that he gets it from both sides. My middle child is the joker of the bunch. He is always coming up with new things that make me laugh. He isn't one to stay still long. Always on the go! He has a very kind heart and loves everyone he meets. My baby is the cutest little rocker you'll ever meet!!! He plays the "dums" and rocks out with his little hands raised high, throwing the metal horns. Of course, he's all boy....mud, dirt, football, cars, trucks and little blonde girls...hopefully, he'll out grow the last one!!!I am very proud of who I am, where I came from and I will defend my name with all that I am and all that I have! I don't make excuses for how I was raised. I love the fact that I have seen more than most around me and it has made me into the woman I am today. So, to those who question me, get over yourself and find something productive to do with your life. Stop trying to understand mine because if you don't wear my shoes, how can you tell where I've walked?

My Interests

My interests are as strange as I am. I love music, hiking, four wheeling(on ATVs and in mud trucks), poetry, crafts, cooking, making homemade candies, spending time with my sons and just being a MOM.I LOVE THE LOCAL MUSIC SCENE BUT CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF, I'M NOT A HOMETOWN GROUPIE.....I GO FOR THE BIG GUNS!!!LOL!

WHO I'D LIKE TO MEET? HMMMM...LET'S START WITH OPEN MINDED, NON-JUDGMENTAL PEOPLE WHO GET TO KNOW SOMEONE BEFORE BASING THEIR OPINION ON WHAT THEY HAVE HEARD.MUSICIANS OR MUSIC FANS! ANYONE WHO DOES WHAT THEY LOVE TO DO AND STAY STEADFAST AND TRUE TO THEMSELVES.OLD FRIENDS, NEW FRIENDS....

Music:

I LOVE MUSIC!! I have a very eclectic taste in music. If you were to look into my vast collection, you could find anything from Patsy Cline to Pantera, AC/DC to Anthrax. I love most of every genre. Some of my favorites are: COUNTRY--the older the better...Hank Williams, Hank Snow, String Bean, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Dottie West, Wanda Jackson, Lynn Anderson, Anne Murrary, Barbara Mandrell, Merle Haggard, Bobby Bare, Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash to name a few. ROCK: I'm a big "hair" metal fan. I love FIREHOUSE, WARRANT, DOKKEN, ROXY BLUE, TRIXTER, DANGER DANGER, WHITESNAKE, TORA TORA, DANGEROUS TOYZ, JACKYL, BROTHER CANE, the list could go on forever! I also love the sounds of the 70's...BLACK OAK ARKANSAS, OZARK MOUNTAIN DAREDEVILS, PURE PRAIRIE LEAGUE, BLACKFOOT, MARSHALL TUCKER BAND....again the list could go on forever!!!I SUPPORT LOCAL BANDS AND LOVE THEIR MUSIC~~SOME OF MY FAVORITES ARE THE OMEGA PLAGUE, BAD KREATION, BROTHER STONE, BATTLE KRY, NO TALE LIGHTS, BACKWATER BURIAL, WELFARE CADILLAC, A KILLER BORN, GUERILLA THEATER AND THE LIST COULD GO ON AND ON AND ON!! I JUST LOVE MUSIC....ALL EXPECT RAP!!!

Movies:

I DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME TO SIT AND WATCH MOVIES BUT WHEN I DO, I'M NOT INTO THE "GIRLY" MOVIES. I LIKE COMEDY, ACTION AND FANTASY MOVIES. I'M A HUGE FAN OF ANY MOVIE BASED ON THE MARVEL COMIC BOOKS, X-MEN BEING MY FAVORITE.

Television:

I THINK TELEVISION HAS BECOME EXTINCT IN MY HOUSE. WE NEVER HAVE TIME TO SIT AND WATCH ANYTHING. IF I DO, IT'S USUALLY A CRIME DRAMA SUCH AS ALL THREE OF THE CSI OR COLD CASE. I AM A BIG HEROES FAN....I REALLY MISS THAT SHOW!!

Books:

ANY BOOK BY THE LATE GREAT, KURT VONNEGUT,"SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE" BEING MY FAVORITE. HISTORY RELATED BOOKS ESPECIALLY ONES ABOUT THE CHEROKEE NATION. THESE DAYS I FIND MYSELF READING MORE AND MORE CHILDREN'S BOOKS. ANY FROM "THE MAGIC RAILROAD" SERIES BEING MY SONS' FAVORITES.

Heroes:

MY MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER, MY CHILDREN....WITHOUT ANY OF THEM, I WOULDN'T BE WHO I AM TODAY. MY BEST FRIEND, SHAWN---I MISS YOU MORE AND MORE EVERYDAY. YOU WILL FOREVER BE IN MY HEART. OUIJYA, MY BROTHER!!!
