I am here for Friends

About Me

My name is Ben Bonds. Chicks dig me because I rarely wear underwear, and when I do, it's usually something unusual.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet Vince Vaughn, Shaquille O'Neal, Paul "Bear" Bryant, Neil Diamond, Elvis Pressley, Will Ferrell, Bill Murray, Robert De Niro, Zach Braff, Michael Jordan, Christopher Walken, Chuck Norris, and the future mother of my children (unless, of course, I already have... in which case, I would like for her to reveal herself to me so I don't waste anymore time)... and, maybe, you!

Music:

Just about anything, from country (which Sarah got me started on) to rap (which Quinn got me started on), it's all good to me...

Movies:

Where do I start?... Ok, in no particular order... Zoolander, The Royal Tenenbaums, Old School, Swingers, Made, Meet the Parents, The Disney version of Robin Hood, Starsky & Hutch, Raising Arizona, Rushmore, Heavyweights, Anchorman, Best In Show, A Mighty Wind, This is Spinal Tap, Waiting for Guffman, A Cool Dry Place, Napoleon Dynamite, Jerry Maguire, Dirty Dancing (my guilty pleasure), Heavyweights, X-Men, X2, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, The Truman Show, Snatch, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, all 3 Austin Powers movies, Dodgeball, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol. 1, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Goodfellas, Forest Gump, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Muppet Movie, both Shrek movies, Say Anything, High Fidelity, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, Scarface, Taxi Driver, Notting Hill (another guilty pleasure), Clifford, What About Bob?, Lost in Translation, The Station Agent, and School of Rock... just to name a few, I'm a movie junky..

Television:

I would have to say my favorite show on TV now is "Scrubs", I don't think there's a better show on right now, and if you object to that, I will fight you... I watch that show "The Office", I think it's hilarious... I, also, like to watch "Seinfeld", an occassional "That 70's Show", old episodes of "Law and Order" (the ones with Lenny and the black guy the new guy sucks), The Late Show with David Letterman, any rerun of SNL (the new ones suck), and "Sportscenter"... I'll also watch just about any sport that I can find on tv

Heroes:

Richard Gere's a real hero of mine. Sting. Sting would be another person who's a hero. The music he's created over the years, I don't really listen to it, but the fact that he's making it, I respect that.... sorry, that was from Zoolander... Seriously, I'll have to go with Vince Vaughn and Shaquille O'Neal... there's just no two cooler guys...

My Blog

I'm back with more thoughts on television from our childhood...

I'm feeling a little nostalgia setting in during these hot summer days (that, of course, turn into fiesta nights), and I thought that I would add to my blog about my personal thoughts/unanswered on te...

How did Jessie get hooked on caffeine pills?.. and other unanswered questions and opinions...

This blog is merely a tribute to television from my childhood... During this time of my life, there were and still are some very important unanswered questions that I wonder, as well as, some opi...

I got a long way to go, and I'm lost on how to get there...

Does anyone ever feel like everything that could go wrong is going wrong, and you're not sure what you're supposed to do make things better... or even worse, you know there is...

I need some memories guys!

In case you and I don't ever get a chance to share memories and, also, some laughs over a few cold ones, then I would like for you to respond to this... And even if ...

I saw 'The Manchurian Candidate' and I couldn't help but think... "But why male models?"

Ok, so I was watching the movie "The Manchurian Candidate", which really was a great movie, but I kept thinking, "Ben," I would tell myself, "you've seen this movie before." and then I would think to...

God Made Scots #1

Rod Stewart: inspiring unattractive men to date hotties since 1970... When I see an attractive girl and I am a little intimidated to talk to her or ask her out, I think to myself... "How would Rod Ste...

Ohhhhh Meat Loaf...

Born Michael Lee Aday, Meat Loaf is quite honestly the greatest singer of his era... and has led us to ask ourselves the question... "Meat Loaf, what would you do for love?"... and in my mind... he wo...

Everyone else does it...

Since everyone else tries to be really deep and meaningful by writing down song lyrics that mean something to them, I, like my good friend Joshua David Austin, do not take these things seriously... an...

You thought the movie was over?

This is the part where you think the movie is over because the credits are rolling and everything, but then a small picture pops up next to the credits with more stuff... and everyone stops in the mid...
