Reading. Writing. Making lists. Music. Movies. Livejournalling. Video games. 10 foot tall walking cucumbers. The occult. Knowing things. People who think they know things but really don't. People. Sex. Rambling. A sense of humour. Eating different Jelly Belly Jellybean flavours at the same, creating "exotic" "adventures" for my tastebuds. Cooking. People who know how to cook. Turning a meal into a sensual discovery. Reading my profile and realizing I haven't updated certain sections since my failed attempt at being a straight edger. What can I say, the drugs and alcohol, how they love me...
Aliens from outerspace. The Loch Ness Monster. Bigfoot. JK Rowling. Jamie Oliver. A 10 foot tall walking cucumber. Conor Oberst. Andrew McMahon. Amy Lee. William Shakespeare. Salvador Dali. Douglas Coupland. The rickshaw runner with the fuzzy dice hanging off his 'shaw. People with a sense of humour. Someone with a third eye growing out of their forehead. Someone who's crazy in a good way. Someone sexy. Someone cool, knows it, and doesn't care. You.
Music is one of my passions, thus there is going to be a hell of a lot of bands listed below that I like.:
Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, Brand New, Marilyn Manson, Something Corporate, Jets to Brazil, Dashboard Confessional, Clinic, Wilco, The Academy is..., PANIC! at the disco, Blink 182, Fall Out Boy, Death Cab, Postal Service, U2, Blue October, Hole, Nirvana, Juliana Theory, The Killers, Madonna, Simple Plan, Sneaker Pimps, Snow Patrol, Bright Eyes, Kaiser Chiefs, The Streets, Athlete, Eels, The Faint, Broken Social Scene, Metric, Stars, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Son, Ambulance; Sorry About Dresden, The Coral Sea, Cursive, Pavement, Ryan Adams, The Flaming Lips, The New Pornographers, Beatles....
In no way shape or form is that list exhaustive or anywhere remotely near complete. I think it would be impossible to keep it complete because it's liable to change on a whim...(And no animals or Americans were harmed in the making of this list)
In no particular order, and in no way all of them:
Dogma, The Matrix, Seven, Blade, Blade 2, Blade Trinity, Elephant, Thirteen, cheesy B horror movies, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, The various Star Wars movies, The Lord of the Rings movies, The Harry Potter movies, Kill Bill (both), Labyrinth, Chicago, Alice in Wonderland, Spiderman (both), Xmen (both), Moulin Rouge, Romeo + Juliet, Sin City, Constantine, The Exorcist, Full Metal Jacket, Donnie Darko, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs...
I don't watch much any TV since I can't afford cable, but that doesn't mean that I don't have my favourites:
The OC, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, CSI (Vegas), The Simpsons, Spongebob Squarepants, Law and Order: SVU, Family Guy, Infomercials about 6 in 1 kitchen whisks...
I read almost anything I can get my hands on. Some are embarrassing, others I can divulge:
The DaVinci Code, Harry Potter, The Dark Tower, other Steven King Books, A Density of Souls, The Snow Garden, John Grisham's books, books on the occult and mysticism, books that make me laugh, books that make me cry, books on sex, books dissecting our "culture", books with pretty pictures, books with not so pretty pictures, books without pictures, books on philosophy, books about mediocrity, books about simplicity, books about complexity, books that provide "moral" guidance, books that glorify the "immoral and amoral"....
My hero? Now there's an interesting question. First, we must define what a hero is:
a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities, one that shows great courage, an object of extreme admiration and devotion : IDOL
Now, who do I look up to? Who do I admire extremely and devote myself to because of their achievements and noble qualities? To tell you the god honest truth? No one. Hero worship leads to stalking and a lack of individuality. Don't mould yourself after anyone cause you're not good enough, god only knows I'm not. Be yourself. Be unique. Admire me ;)
