About Me

Devron Barrett, p.k.a A.O.S, started rapping in the late 80’s. Engulfed in the “golden age” of hip hop, he knew that hip hop would be his life. Reared on Baltimore’s northwest side, A.O.S began honing his craft in the early 90’s writing songs and battling throughout the city. He began recording songs in ’93 a production team called the Architects. They worked together on various projects and terminated their relationship in ’95. Throughout high school, A.O.S made a name for himself as one of the schools nicest emcees. In ’98 he moved to Atlanta in attempts to extend his career. In Atlanta, he soon found himself a part of the Binkis Records family, which consisted of T.I.’s current d.j Drama, Jax and Flux and a few other artists now know in the area. This involvement allowed A.O.S to began performing all over Georgia in events like the Lyrist Lounge tour, The MC AllStars tour, and the southern region earning a name for himself as a promising solo artist. This also helped him tap into the college radio market which supported his efforts. He’s opened for artists such as Xibit, Mass Influence, The Beatnuts, Gang Starr, and others. He’s been reviewed in XXL, City Paper, Frank, and Elemental just to name a few. In 2000, he returned to Baltimore and in ’02 recorded an album that was never released. After a few years of obscurity now he's back and sharper than he ever was. With a few new projects in the works he's poised to make some big contributions to the new hip hop community.
