About Me

Moved to the UK in 2001 and haven't looked back yet, except to miss the people I love.
Still the same punk chick I ever was. Only fatter and with grey hair--Ouch!
Still the same bookworm I ever was, only now I have an "important" job (yeah, right) so I don't get to read that often.
I have written quite a few books, including Alternative and Activist Media and several on neuropsychiatric conditions, such as autism and Tourette syndrome. Click below to have a look:

Alternative media

Autism & Neuropsych

My Interests

Journalism, anarchism, politics in general, good books, good movies, live music (which I hardly ever get any of anymore!), making things...
... my kids and my granddaughter...

I'd like to meet:

* Tom Vague

* Ed Ivey

* Stewart Home

* Freddie Baer

* Jerod Poore

and Jaime Trujillo, where are you? All I can find is your shop . Kevin Chronic, I miss you too.

revisionist punkrock history

Finally got around to reading "We Got the Neutron Bomb," an oral history version of LA punk rock. Not too bad really, it's always good to hear new versions of old stories (I had heard lots of these 1s...

New Year's resolutions? Oh, why not.

Yep, I do it every year. Last year I pledged to learn to knit. I managed that but didn't learn how to also purl, without which you can't actually produce much of nothin'. So I think this year I shall ...

Grumpy-ass day out

You know what it's like if you are reading this and are around my age. If you are younger, well, this is what it gets to be like. You don't realise it until there is someone with the two of you. See, ...
