Profile GeneratorJupiter’s First consists of five friends from the Malmesbury area who have been gigging in various bands locally for a few years now. Their friendship formed on musical interests and direction shines through in their music; producing a tight, original and fresh outfit. Formed in late December 2006, they are showing signs of rapid development.
Though they've only been together for just over a year, the band have already written some interesting material and established themselves on the local alternative music scene, within the shape of a few impressive gigs; including supporting Devil Sold His Soul at The Furnace in Swindon, as well as supporting bands such as Old School Tie, We Are The Ocean and Open The Skies.
Recently, Jupiter's First were the winners of the MEMM Battle of the Bands 2007, a competition featuring 12 bands from the Swindon area. Also the track 'Screens & Eyelids' has been played on BBC Radio 6, on the show 'Introducing with Tom Robinson'.
In Summer 07 the band recorded their debut EP-'Decades'. These are the very first songs written by the band and were recorded and produced by Dan Cole (Pete's brother). The band are really pleased with how the tracks have come out and are currently selling the EP at gigs.
They hope to be able to secure some more gigs over the coming months and are excited about the thought of playing their new material to audiences.
