Three years may not seem like a long time to many, but in the
bar/nightlife/promotion game it is close to an eternity. Bella Blue Inc.’s
marketing and promotional business isn’t about to call it a career yet either.
If anything, she’s only elevating the community further. With a charity event at
Cauley Ferrari, Dirty Martini’s one-year anniversary coming up and a new
liquidexposure.com event all in the works, it’s pretty obvious the hottest
parties in town aren’t even close to cooling off. “You have to have a true
passion for what you do. If you love your work, the people around you know it. I
don’t think there is a secret with throwing a hot party, it’s really about
networking, connections and creating hype for an event,†she said. “Everything I
do has a femme flair to it which is different from most promoters. Being a woman
gives me my own edge in the industry.â€
Besides her XX chromosome edge, Bella Blue did reveal certain tips for those
looking to promote or host their own party. She said to take into consideration
other big parties scheduled the same night as yours; weather plays a factor and
in this town, so do sporting events — playoffs in particular. “Nothing is 100
percent original — someone’s already done it, so put your own vision into it to
make it appealing.†The reward to putting it all on the line for a club
promotion or selling out an event? “Seeing a room filled with people having a
great time …†From the recent GIRL party at the Dirty Martini to the Super Bowl
XL Cupid kickoff, Bella Blue has a natural ability for drawing a crowd and
keeping the party live. Her ultimate event? “Taking GIRL to another city — which
is in the works right now. Look out Vegas, Bella’s bringing GIRL to Sin City.â€
