Fire on the Mountain

Blowjob for a Cowboy

About Me

Formed in the humid southeastern United States in 2005, Fire on the Mountain is the whiskey bred offspring of too much Slayer, a bunch of European Death Metal and a whole lot of piss and vinegar. Intent on burning a new path through the south, Fire on the Mountain may sound safe in their namesake, but are mean when it comes to metal. Weaned on the their father’s country and their own blend of punk rock virtues and southern charm, with one foot firmly in the Pantera school of groove and the other laying somewhere between Entombed and latter-day Carcass, Fire on the Mountain presents a take no shit, balls to the wall southern attitude evident in their devastating demo and blistering live shows. This ain’t some fucking gimmick, bandwagon jumping trendy bullshit; these boys wear their history proudly on their tattered flannel sleeves and fly their flag of Southern indifference high. With razor sharp hooks, infectious harmonies, bestial sludge and lyrics dealing with everything from ghosts, whores, and repent on the hangman’s porch, the Fire on the Mountain caliber of songwriting and expressive prose will prove to be addictive. From the ashes of almost a decade of nonstop playing and recording under several different lineups, monikers, genres and sounds, the Fire on the Mountain combination of brutish redneck hope and gentle Georgia charm will be unlike any other.Fire on the Mountain play mean melodic metal, nothing else.

This is the End?

It is with great remorse that we must mark this day as the probable end of Fire on the Mountain. Due to outside obligations, Jacob has left his duties as bass player and amicably moved on. We wish him...
