DIASPORA, born out of the same spirit, works to connect international Hip Hop communities. Understanding that life and music began and still breathes in the motherland, Afrika, Our goal is to open the lines of communication between the creative, innovative , motivated and brilliant youths of Afrikan communities, and other hip hop communities world wide.Diaspora’s first project is between the country of GHANA and the US. We will be traveling to Ghana and researching HIP LIFE (Ghanaian Hip Hop), and West Afrika’s influence on the creation of Hip Hop. Diaspora is also organizing a collaborative mix tape featuring producers and artists from the US and Ghanaian Hip Hop Communities to correspond with their research.
