About Me

In the fall of '96 I bought my first pair of Technics turntables after getting turned on to a new sound I had never heard before. They were calling it "abstract jungle" (the term drum n bass had yet to really catch hold) and I felt that I had stumbled onto some form of alien communication. Learning to DJ was tricky using these records to say the least! Eventually I got into most of the other forms of electronic music - progressive, breakbeat, trip hop, ebm, downbeat, house, psy-trance - most of which seemed relatively easy to mix having cut my teeth on records with such a complex beat structure.
I played around the club circuit for a few years, getting my start playing at random raves here and there. The first party I played was an opening slot for Christopher Lawrence, who I wasn't really aware of and later discovered was huge in the American trance scene. I had only been playing for a couple of months and it was an amazing opportunity. More great shows followed, opening for Nigel Richards, John Kelley, Donald Glaude, and a handful of others.
In 2000, along with Iko Neuroshard, an amazing artist/musician from the Seattle area, I gathered together several DJ friends and formed Cell Division - a DJ/musician/artist collective that quickly grew to over 20 members. Although I am hardly an active participant these days, the group is still going strong, catering mostly to the industrial music scene.
In late '01/early'02 I stepped back from it all for a while to focus on other passions of mine - namely my visual art which seemed to be suffering from lack of attention. I went to art school and majored in graphic design with a slight emphasis on interactive media. During this time I also got into electronic music production.
In 2005, friend and fellow artist Mychosis and I formed Beatz Working Records , an internet based record label focusing on electronic music.
