Hellzinga was created in September '06 when PJ and Niels were having a drink in the local JH. Eventually Maurits came in and the three started talking since they were some of the few metalheads in the area. after a while PJ asked Maurits if he would like to start a band with him, Wim (who wasnt there), and Niels. he agreed and one week later was the first band practice. the band then carried the name Unframed Obituary but because there was another band which had that name we shortly after changed the name to Hellzinga. after a couple weeks we realised that there was something missing- a bassist. so after 2 months we finally found a bassist. and thats when Hellzinga was complete and really started off. After a while we we're starting to have problems with the bassist so now we're back to the quartet we were in the beginning. A few months later, Karel came in and now we are back and stronger than ever.
