Hi, My name is Butch Hirtle. I am a versatile, Part Time, Singing, Pro Bass Player, from Weymouth MA. I am familier with tunes of both male & female vocalists. My forte is locking down a solid groove.My preferred genre's are Classic Soul, Classic R&B, Motown, Funk, Blues, Jazz or Classic Rock. I can move smoothly between idioms. I accept engagements in Eastern MA, Southern NH, Aquidneck & Northern RI, I can travel further for Saturday dates if remuneration is commensurate with expenses.Recent credits include three years as the house bassist at the Sunday jam at Hajjar's in Weymouth and a finalist at the 2003 Boston Blues Challange with the Steve DiCecco Band. I've appeared with The Catsass Blues Band, The House Rockers, The Cindy Daley Blues Band, Keep'n the "Gruve", Boston Baked Blues, Mission of Blues, Sweet Melissa, LisaMarie & All Shook Up, Erin & The Soul Drivers, Hoodoo Revelator, Drivin' Blind, Sugar Blues & others. Currently I am one of the regular rotating host band bassists at New Blue Revue Thursday Night open mic jam at the Next Page Cafe in Weymouth.
