Music. Music. Music. And then some more music. Playing it, talking about it, listening to it, anticipating it. Music. When my fingers are bleeding too much to pick up my guitar or drum sticks I like to kick back with my girl and my animals, drink a little and chill out. I also have a bit of a hobby in the cooking department. And gardening. They are both relaxing and enjoyable for reasons I don't understand but don't really need to.
I don't seek out people to meet. I take them as they come. If you are anywhere near intelligent or interesting chances are we'd get along to some degree.
I have an eclectic taste. Garage Rock, Psychedelia, Folk Early Punk, Jazz, Blues, Classic Country, Americana, Hard Rock, Pop, Ambient, Electronica, blah blah blah. If it's tasty I dig it.Some of my all time favorite bands (in no particular order)The Beatles/The White Stripes/Led Zeppelin/Counting Crows /Audioslave/Secret Machines/Black Rebel Motorcycle Club/U2/Johnny Cash.... I really could go on for days and days.
I like movies, just seems I don't have time to watch all the ones I'd like to. Saw Garden State recently, it was way good. I have a pretty good collection of DVD's but rarely take them out and watch them. I loved Sin City and V for Vendetta. Then you have the perenial faves like Star Wars, Groundhog Day, Quigly Down Under, Half Baked, VAnilla Sky, Memento. I like things that are arty, things that make you think and things that make you laugh you ass off. And like any self respecting guy I like big explosions and half naked chics.
Ok. So I'm a little addicted to TV when the day is done and the inspiration drys up. I'm a die hard Scrubs fand. Same with King of Queens, Weeds, Arrested Development (god rest your soul) Aqua Teen Hunger Force, House, Bones, Metalacolypse, Robot Chicken, Fox Sunday Nights, Futurama etc... I hate laugh tracks and I love NFL football.
The Gunslinger series by Stephen King. Anything by Hunter S. Thompson. All those weird authors, Kesey, Bukowski, Vonnegut. Wonder Boys by Michael Chabon. I read mostly pop-culture rock magazines, and not a huge book reader. Bad me, long live Rolling Stone and Spin. I read a lot of music non-fiction too. Cash by Johnny Cash is awesome. I'm currently reading "The Story of the White Stripes"
John Fucking Lennon. He is a god. I'm also a huge follower of Robert Plant, Johnny Cash and Bono from U2. Also, Hillary Clinton. Yeah, I said it. You heard me. Hillary '08 bitches!
