Christian has been a writer and producer for Cubico.com, the leading online community dedicated to urban Latinos, and has interviewed different iconic figures in music, fashion, entertainment, and film. Among her interview subjects are supermodel Yamila Diaz Rahi, urban music and fashion mogul Russel Simmons and Rev. Run, producer Julian Schnabel, actor Javier Bardem, singers Shakira, Lupillo Rivera, Los Lobos, and Plastilina Mosh, fashion designers Paul Frank, Ecko, and Tribal Gear, boxer Fernando “Ferocious†Vargas, photographer Estevan Oriol and world renowned tattoo artist Mr. Cartoon.
She has covered major musical events including the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards in New York City, the 2000 Latin Grammy Awards, Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) in New York City and Los Angeles, and the 2006 world class fashion convention MAGIC International Fashion Show in Las Vegas. She was recently a guest designer on HGTV's interior design show FreeStyle.
Christian studied interior design for two years and recently received a bachelor’s of science degree in Public Relations and a minor in Geology from San Jose State University. She plans to pursue a master’s degree.
She fluently speaks Spanish and English. She enjoys playing tennis and reading about architecture, philosophy, and film. Among her favorite architects are Ricardo Legorreta (Mexico), Frank Gehry (USA) and Santiago Calatrava (Spain).
Christian joined the LatinEyes team as a reporter in 2002 and has enjoyed every minute of the experience.
