Juan Andrés and Yluko met via a mutual friend and their passion for classical music as well as that of the electronic nature brought them together. A deep friendship ensued and only later did the idea of forming a band come about. The idea was to mix both style of sounds and to create something completely different then each other’s respective bands.
Juan Andrés is the mastermind behind “Lamia†the South American Gothic/Electro act that combines antique music with electronic instrumentation. Lamia has released three albums worldwide on such diverse labels as Metropolis Records (USA), Black Rain (Germany) and now Juan’s own South American label Karma Records.
Yluko has worked with countless artists worldwide but is mostly known for his first project the successful underground industrial/ebm act “Y-LUK-Oâ€. Y-LUK-O has released four albums, starting with their first release in Germany. Y-LUK-O soon went worldwide touring Europe as well as America.
The combination of Juan and Yluko working together is magical. A seamless integration of dark electronic music with twisted synthwork and driving base lines, layer in passionate vocals and thoughtful arrangement and you are left with a fresh new band that is destined to be a household name (for those who like this genre anyway).
