About Me

glitter-graphics.com
I love meeting people who have interesting ideas, are open-minded, honest and authentic . . . and who can teach me something new. I love CREATIVE people--writers, artists, photographers, musicians, journalists, etc.--people who have found a way to make a living doing creative work they love!I'm also interested in survivors, people who have come through their chaos with a keener sense of self and authenticity, and are willing to share their journeys in order to inspire others!I'm a child of the 60s and 70s, a proud daughter adopted by New Orleans, and one who has learned that the only way to live a happy life is to live ABUNDANTLY and MAGNIFICENTLY the life that YOU choose!"Laissez les bon temps rouler!"

My Interests

Way too many to list here, but always tops on the list--LSU football, good books, art, music, news, painting with acrylics, interesting people, cats, dogs, nature, the beach, the mountains, the ocean, the night-time sky, positive thinking, being a great mom, chiropractic care, alternate health, spiritual enlightenment, massage therapy, traveling (especially trips taken just because you have a wild hair to do so!)What I'm NOT interested in: NASCAR, professional basketball, hearing the same story over and over, needy men, perverts, political extremists at either end of the spectrum, sushi, people without goals, tightwads.

I'd like to meet:

People who love New Orleans, the LSU Tigers, Animals, Nature, God and Country and want to be a POSITIVE LIGHT and a CHANGING FORCE in this crazy world we all live in--no matter what corner of Mother Earth you currently inhabit!

Music:

U2, Bon Jovi, Springsteen, classic rock, R&B, Aretha, Tina, Earth, Wind & Fire; Luther, Beach Boys, 80s big hair bands, 90s grundge, Cajun, Zydeco, Martina McBride, jazz, blues, new stuff before it gets popular, Bonnie Raitt, New Age, all kinds of music, really!

Movies:

There are a few I really like, but I'm not that crazy about sitting still in a dark movie theatre for a couple of hours, unless the movie is REALLY thought-provoking in some way. I urge everyone to view "The Secret" though. It's sure to make you feel good about yourself and your future opportunities.

Television:

Grey's Anatomy, Law & Order, the CSIs, ER, anything on the Discovery Channel, all cable news outlets, LSU sports

Books:

"Letting Go of Stuff" by Darren Johnson rocked my world and changed my life. Get it, read it, and start living your life! "God on a Harley" by Joan Brady . . . an amazingly powerful book for everyone to read!

Heroes:

My kids for surviving (and thriving) despite my mistakes as a parent. SURVIVORS of all kinds. The people who have invested time doing hurricane relief of all kinds following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita (Thank you!) Strong, independent women. Men with brains and hearts. Men in uniform. The scientists and engineers I work with because they do work that really means something . . . and they make my job so darn interesting! And people who just REFUSE to settle for anything less than they deserve!AND, I have to say that my newest HERO is my sweetheart, Lee. He is proof positive that God has someone special for each and every one of us, and He will draw them into our lives ONLY once we learn to love ourselves and are truly grateful for the life God has already given us. Seems, in my case, God had the most amazing lagniappe in store for me--a New Orleans man named Lee. We are truly in love.
