About Me

This has all been said before, and most of you know me in some capacity. I want to see a sweeping change of kindness occur in our world instead of anger and apathy. I want to see healthy, strong communities that work together, instead of segregation and isolation. I want to see our children safe and happy, full of hope and confidence, secure in their abilities to be stewards of their lives. I want people to realize their relationship with the environment is as important as their relationships with their own families. I say this unto you, less you forget: “Be the change you wish to see in the world”, spoken by a Bodhisattva, M.K. Gandhi.

My Interests

These days, just about anything that makes me laugh. Humor is good medicine, and we need all we can get. Reading, traveling, painting, capturing images, and music.

I'd like to meet:

I would really like to meet painters, artisans, and people living on the creative edge of life. I have recently rediscovered my passion for painting, and would like to keep rekindling this old flame.

Music:

Classical, indigenous (North and South American), Arabic, Johnny Cash, Unida/John Garcia, and southern gothic/roots/mountain music.

Movies:

The Secret DVD and Krishnamurti's Talks at Ojai 1982 series

Television:

Rarely watch it

Books:

For the past four years, mostly medical texts and books pertaining to environmental health. However, love the writings of John Steinbeck, E.A. Poe, Robert Frost, J. Krishnamurti, Emerson, Thoreau, M. Ghandi, Carl Jung, Goethe, and Ken Wilber.

Heroes:

I admire a lot of people. The people that I have the most respect for are those that lift their lives from despair to inspire others. Also, I like the underdog.
