ABOUT EL JOSE b
Jose Sanchez is a Percussionist from Cuba. He began his studies in Percussion at Manuel Saumell School of Music from age 11 and graduated as a Musician and Teacher from the "Amadeo Roldan Conservatory" in Havana.He has participated as a percussionist and a producer in many recordings in different part of the world. He has toured extensibly through South America, North America and Europe with big Cuban names such as Adalberto Alvarez y su Son, Rojitas y su Orquesta, Amaury Perez and others.Jose moved to Vancouver in 1997, where he joined the music scene with Puentes Brothers, Juno award winner Alex Cuba and with Canadian pop singer Amanda Marshall.Jose has not only an impressive and very cultivated technique but also a contagious and elaborated rhythm and an extraordinary taste for Afro-Cuban rhythms.
