About Me

Ah yes, me - drummer/percussionist and allround studio person - engineer, producer, studio owner and supplier of tea and biscuits. Drummed most notably I suppose with Shakin' Stevens for 5 years, recording many hit records and touring the world - also with Red Box, Kirsty McColl, Black Box Recorder, The Look, The Auteurs, Paul Roberts (Sniff N The Tears) Victims of Pleasure, TV Smith (The Adverts) and many happy tours with my first band No Dice. Played with artists as diverse as Bo Diddley, Dame Edna Everage, Gwen Guthrie, Joan Armatrading, Mari Wilson and I think I'm on a Radiohead track somewhere!I was a member of Dave Studderts' Mumbo Jumbo which ran the Conspiracy Club in London and took us as far as Sydney and Melbourne for a couple of very interesting gigs, after which we split up! Shame - it was a great band. Currently playing with Last Man Standing - also a great band led by the charasmatic Max Vanderwolf, last year we played in London, Holland, Ireland and New York and we're recording 2 albums worth of new material for release later this this year.As engineer I've worked with bands/artists such as Placebo, Deus, Snow Patrol, Bananarama, Samantha Mumba, The Anomolies, Underdog, Babyshambles, Boy George, Elastica, Amanda Ghost and James Blunt before he was... Also recorded many soundtracks to silent movies for the British Film Institute (Piccadilly, Primitives and Pioneers,South, Laurel and Hardy etc.) as well as TV sessions such as The Vanishing Man, Great Train Journeys of the World, The Crimea War, Little Wolf and Paul Mertons' Silent Clowns amonst others. Always variety!Have co-written the music for documentaries/commercials with my partner, Victy Silva along with 2 series of Hidden Treasure Houses currently being rerun on Channel 5.Theatre credits includes Dame Edna, The Blues Brothers, Jesus Christ Superstar, Jungle Book, Sadly Solo Joe and most recently Sleeping Beauty at the Greenwich Theatre.Currently producing new tracks for HighRizeMuzik, recording and mixing with Last Man Standing and recording an upcoming album with those misanthropic funky popsters Jack Adaptor.
