About Me

I am a fan of random acts of kindness, hugs, and dark chocolate. I am not a fan of whiners, but if you're going to whine, you should take the initiative to make change. I love being barefoot outside, especially when it is muddy or wet outside. I like to drink tea and watch fog roll off the mountains and the dew drops on the grass. I most of all enjoy curling up on the couch, an afghan made with love wrapped around me, the wood burning stove cracklin in the background, and a good friend to talk with, maybe even a dog or two. i got my layout from

My Interests

awkward/borderline inappropriate touch. walking and talking. long meaningful hugs. things found on adventures outside. creating art. working hard. loving others. respect. honor.

I'd like to meet:

silly babble talkers, creative thinkers, schnugglers, hard workers, adventurous spirits, etc.

Music:

sounds I love: snorts when giggling. leaves rustling in the wind. wood crackling in the fire. music I enjoy: pots and pans and water jugs. the flow of jazz. raw appalachian bluegrass. acoustic local folk. indie rock. those classics...oldies. a little natural vibrato. intricate guitar work. the soul in gospel. multiple harmonies. improv jams.

Movies:

Harold and Maude. Some Like It Hot. The Newsies. The Goonies. The Science of Sleep.

Television:

sometimes I watch sports and sometimes i watch silly television programs which are addictive by the way...but mostly not!

Books:

I love when people read to me just before bed. And I enjoy a good book that challenges my lifestyle, values, and standards. I also enjoy gardening books, how to manuals on occasion, and self help/spiritual books.

Heroes:

my family (including and not limited to my biological family and the family of friends I have created comprising key players from around the globe). risk takers! and Vince Rewekant who's philosophy in life is this, "if I can make one person smile for one minute and forget their problem in that minute it brings so much joy to my heart."

My Blog

the end of sports night

So I've just finished watching the two seasons of which Nathaniel Largo and I think as one of the top television series. Sports night got cancelled after two seasons due to, what I presume one could c...
