About Me

I'm a future history teacher (yeah, yeah, I know it sounds crazy) but in the mean time I work for Disneyland as a lead in the New Orleans Square/Critter Country stores. I have some of the most amazing friends and I love to hang out with them as much as possible. I'm pretty easy going, I hate to take things too seriously... like my dad, I think I'll always be a kid at heart and I think it's a good thing. (this layout is from whateverlife.com 8)

My Interests

I'm a pretty big history nerd. I love all things historical, books, movies, I find it fascinating. I especially love the colonial period of US history. I'm actually a really big sports fan, so I guess that redeems me slightly. I've been cheering for the San Francisco 49ers and the Lakers since I was a kid, and in college football I have to back the Michigan Wolverines! I'm really into baseball... I love my Dodgers (the real LA baseball team!) and my Detroit Tigers.

I'd like to meet:

Josh Gracin. Joel Zumaya, Russell Martin... really any of the Tigers or Dodgers. Seriously though, I'm not really here to meet new people. I'm more about keeping in touch with the great people I already know. So if I know you from somewhere, feel free to send me a message. Otherwise....

Music:

Suffice it to say I love country music more then any other genre. The list of country artists I don't like is much shorter than the list of the ones I do, but my absolute favorites are Josh Gracin, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban. I do listen to other types of music too, including Yellowcard, Kelly Clarkson, The Killers, Michelle Branch, Blink 182, and of course Elvis Presley.

Movies:

The Wizard of Oz is my absolute favorite movie of all time. Cinderella is a very, very close second. I'm a big fan of a lot of Disney movies though, mostly the older ones but I loved Finding Nemo and Pirates of the Caribbean. I'm a huge fan of comedies... I never tire of Mean Girls, Anchorman, or Dumb and Dumber. I really liked the movie adaptation of Rent and the Harry Potter movies, and while I'm not usually a fan of chick flicks I have to plead guilty to loving 13 Going on 30 and Pride and Prejudice. (The A&E version... Colin Firth is an excellent Mr. Darcy.)

Television:

Quick snapshot of my Tivo queue: Jeopardy (I'm a wealth of random knowledge!) Entourage, Grey's Anatomy, House, CSI, How I Met Your Mother, The Office, Ugly Betty and a few reality shows like American Idol, Project Runway and Dancing with the Stars.

Books:

I'm a pretty big fan of classic literature. I'm one of those people who enjoys Shakespeare. My absolute favorite books are The Count of Monte Cristo, The Three Musketeers, Les Miserables... In more contemporary fields I love Tuesdays With Morrie, The Five People You Meet In Heaven, almost all of Max Lucado's books, Memoirs of a Geisha and Harry Potter. I'm pretty addicted to Harry Potter.
