About Me

The new wave of Australian heavy music is only just beginning. The pioneers of this phenomenon such as Day Of Contempt, Parkway Drive, I Killed The Prom Queen and Carpathian, have all slaved away and forged ahead spreading the seed of Australian metal and hardcore overseas. This has now paved the way for a new slew of bands to expose a whole new audience to their own particular brand of sonic destruction. One such band is Cross The Lips Of Grace.
Formed in 2004, with five local Brisbane boys coming together in the search of one thing; an avenue to punish listeners with original, brutal and honest music and have a fucking good time doing it. Since their inception, they have hit the local scene with vigour and conviction, delivering a massive onslaught of technical guitar work, puncturing drumming and crushing vocals. Together this is combined to form a well-oiled machine capable of mixing the best elements of rough hardcore and contemporary death metal. Years of hard work have seen the band support integral bands throughout the Brisbane and national scene by sharing the stage with bands like Mourning Tide, The Amity Affliction, Her Nightmare, The Jonestown Syndicate, Raising The Dead, Vice For Virtue, Coma Lies, From These Wounds, Pennylayne, Western Decay, Govern The Sky, Mary Magdalene, Falling Into Apathy, The Valley, Benneson Theory and The Red Shore.
Cross The Lips Of Grace has supported both Parkway Drive and I Killed The Prom Queen on their album launch tours as well performing with international acts such as The Bled, From Autumn To Ashes and more recently, All Shall Perish. They've developed very close ties with Skull and Bones Records, released a self-titled Mini-EP to wet the thrist of fans and have begun work on their debut full length album, due for release in mid-to-late 2008.
With such an impressive resume', there can be no denying that 2008 will be a huge year for Cross The Lips Of Grace. Either you can embrace it with open arms or face losing them in the mosh. Your choice.
