When taking digital or 35mm photographs to try to capture anomalies, keep the following in mind.1) Do not trespass on private or public property.2) Do take care when using your flash - first - not to blind others and secondly not to flash in windows of private citizens late at night. It can cause alarm and be harmful to your reputation.3) Flash pictures reflect. They reflect off paint (on walls) rocks, tree branches, flying insects, hard surfaces (like tombstones) and they can look like false positives because of this. Look when you are shooting and have a second person watch so when you go through those photos, you can keep track of positives and false positives.4) Do take extra batteries for camera and flashes.5) Use an emf meter or other equipment to tell you when activity is happening so you can shoot the photo with much better chance of accuracy and have backup proof something was occuring. These few simple things lead to much better photos. the dead is trying to speak to us......There are different anomalies which may show up in your ghost picture. Some of the most common are as follows...1) Orbs – round spheres of light that can be caused by flash reflection off of reflective surfaces, dust, glass, insects, moisture, etc. Of course, many believe that some orbs are “spirit…maybe even the souls of people. They have been captured in movement with a vapor trail; and have also been photographed with super-bright (often orange) energy – called “super-charged orbs.” Orbs caused by flash reflection will often have a “halo” or spokes radiating out from the center of it; but then again who knows the source of all anomalies? Are all things easily determined? Not so in all cases.2) Ectoplasm – smoke-like, fog that is not usually visible to the naked eye, but appears in the ghost picture. Many believe this to be “spirit” captured in picture. Of course, it is possible for cigarette smoke, fog or even breath from the photographer to sometimes reproduce this effect. So, one must be aware of this when taking ghost pictures - especially in cold weather.3) Vortexes (vortices) – “funnel-shaped” energy usually encompassed or comprised of ectoplasm. Some believe this to perhaps be a portal or opening between the spiritual and physical worlds. Others believe these to be nothing more than the camera strap having been accidentally photographed. Many times a camera strap gets into the photograph by accident and looks similar.4) Dark Shadows - Black ectoplasm also called shadow people by some. These have been witnessed moving and even dancing around rooms and could indicate the condition of the person's soul as darkness (lack of understanding - lost).5) Apparitions – the Holy Grail of ghost pictures; capturing a full-bodied spirit in a “see-through” human form. These are rare, and some ghost hunters maintain they are not possible to capture, but just a Hollywood movie version of what a ghost looks like.6) Super-Charged Energy - streaks of "lightning-looking" anomalies in pictures. Some super-charged energy is mistakenly created by the digital camera flash settings; others are not. View and read about: False Supercharged Energy7) Anthropomorphizing - also known as "matrixing." To give human attributes to inanimate things. Some faces in photos are ghostly, while others are not. View and read about: Anthropomorphizing

Legend has it, that many years ago, a car of teenagers were driving down a country road in Hacketsttown after the prom. Due to the windy nature of the path, and slippery conditions, the car crashed into a ditch and a girl, still in her prom dress, died. To this day, you can still see her wandering the curve that she was murdered on wearing her dress. The road is actually named, "Shades of Death Road" and is located towards Great Meadows by Jenny Jump State Park and Ghost Lake (A highly haunted area). The road is very windy and tales tells that if you, as an unsuspecting teenager, drive too fast down Shades of Death Road, the ghost of the dead girl will present herself to you, there by forcing you into a firey death as well - perhaps a warning to others?Part of the story also includes this tid bit: Every section of the road that contains a reflective guardrail is where someone has died.
