daydreaming, finding my fill-line, goofing off while I should be working, defying gravity, processing words, nurturing and ensuring future generations, honing my vocal talents (or not-so- talenty talents).

Feel free to contact me to simply be a pal. Otherwise, I'd like to meet: JULIA! People I've met and lost touch with, anyone I went to school with or have known from my childhood or teen years, other moms, people who love to write, Potter fans, those who journal (rather than blog?), and ... uh, you. I like meeting all sorts of people-especially those who are weird and damn proud of it. I'm hoping NOT to meet: people just interested in adding friends for the numbers, women "collectors" or sleazeballs. So go away now, hoooo-ers! I choose my friends/accept invitations wisely... I'm here to meet people and have fun, not looking for a hook-up.

I love just about anything. Duran Duran, Guns n Roses, Wizard rock, Metallica, Richard Cheese, Italian folk music, The Doors, Sting & The Police, music that brings me back in time, old school Hip hop, showtunes, Anna Nalick, Norah Jones, Christina Aguilera, most 80s music, hair bands & metal heads, Green Day, Ludacris, Eminem, Alannis Morrisette, dance music...
and pretty much anything fun or weird or fun and weird.
The Harry Potter series, The Butterfly Effect, Fever Pitch, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Chicago, Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, The Cable Guy, The Big Lebowski... most of the Pixar films (I love Cars!). My favorite thing about movies is when they're totally quotable, so sometimes I'll get hooked on one simply because it's fun to imitate.
Comedy... all the way. I've just recently discovered a great show in syndication called "Still Standing" which makes me laugh a LOT... and I could kick my own ass for not noticing it sooner. American Idol is okay... SNL, I like old cartoons... otherwise, I'm not much of a TV fan.
The Catcher in the Rye, Jane Eyre, Matilda, Animal Farm, The Harry Potter Books(figure that one out yet?), children's lit., horror, fantasy, mystery... it's all about the escapism. I avoid self-help books for the most part, because I'm a little bit of a hypochondriac-and I don't need ideas for new ailments. Besides, I think most of them are fad maladies anyway... do we really need another thing to give ourselves shit about?
Great parents everywhere. JK Rowling. Every single one of my friends for one reason or another. Funny people. My family members, because they're all crazy (some legitimately, I suspect). People who loved me before I was rich and famous.
