I'm a 36 year old mother of five- yep, five-(kick ass) children ranging in age from 3 to 18. Yeah, I've heard it all-from "don't you have cable?" to "are you done yet?" but being a mom of a larger than today's standard family is something I love and would not change for the world. Then again, I've been blessed-I have the best kids in the whole. wide. world.

In my free time (and yes, I have it-I haven't lost my identity), I love to write, journal, read, go out with friends (esp. on Saturday nights-wheeeeeee! A lot. A real, real lot...) and shop. I'm usually found walking, though, because I enjoy it, and with children in tow, it's always interesting to see the world through their eyes. I have the world's GREATEST family, most AWESOME friends, and the most AMAZING boyfriend in the world.
I'm a pretty friendly person once you get to know me-with a very optimistic view on life. I don't let too many things bring me down, and when I do get in those funks, I'm not down for long. I have a tendency to get lost in my own thought at times, which makes some people assume that I'm not talkative, but that's just not true. I'm just a daydreamer... I'll snap out of it eventually. And then there'll be the times when you just can't shut me up...
I used to sketch a LOT, but I haven't done it in so long that I don't even know if I'm any GOOD anymore... Hrm. Probably not. Oh well.
What I *really* love to do is write. I have written a few short children's stories that I would love to have published someday... if I ever feel they are tweaked enough to send out. My greatest ambition is to become a published (and successful) novelist.
I'm also a FREAK for Harry Potter. If you're even remotely interested in Harry Potter, we'll get along just fine. My favorite character is Ron Weasley-I can so relate to him-I think I was the original Ron in high school.

My Interests

daydreaming, finding my fill-line, goofing off while I should be working, defying gravity, processing words, nurturing and ensuring future generations, honing my vocal talents (or not-so- talenty talents). Read my VisualDNA ™ Get your own VisualDNA™

I'd like to meet:

Feel free to contact me to simply be a pal. Otherwise, I'd like to meet: JULIA! People I've met and lost touch with, anyone I went to school with or have known from my childhood or teen years, other moms, people who love to write, Potter fans, those who journal (rather than blog?), and ... uh, you. I like meeting all sorts of people-especially those who are weird and damn proud of it. I'm hoping NOT to meet: people just interested in adding friends for the numbers, women "collectors" or sleazeballs. So go away now, hoooo-ers! I choose my friends/accept invitations wisely... I'm here to meet people and have fun, not looking for a hook-up.

Music:

I love just about anything. Duran Duran, Guns n Roses, Wizard rock, Metallica, Richard Cheese, Italian folk music, The Doors, Sting & The Police, music that brings me back in time, old school Hip hop, showtunes, Anna Nalick, Norah Jones, Christina Aguilera, most 80s music, hair bands & metal heads, Green Day, Ludacris, Eminem, Alannis Morrisette, dance music... and pretty much anything fun or weird or fun and weird.

Movies:

The Harry Potter series, The Butterfly Effect, Fever Pitch, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Chicago, Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, The Cable Guy, The Big Lebowski... most of the Pixar films (I love Cars!). My favorite thing about movies is when they're totally quotable, so sometimes I'll get hooked on one simply because it's fun to imitate.

Television:

Comedy... all the way. I've just recently discovered a great show in syndication called "Still Standing" which makes me laugh a LOT... and I could kick my own ass for not noticing it sooner. American Idol is okay... SNL, I like old cartoons... otherwise, I'm not much of a TV fan.

Books:

The Catcher in the Rye, Jane Eyre, Matilda, Animal Farm, The Harry Potter Books(figure that one out yet?), children's lit., horror, fantasy, mystery... it's all about the escapism. I avoid self-help books for the most part, because I'm a little bit of a hypochondriac-and I don't need ideas for new ailments. Besides, I think most of them are fad maladies anyway... do we really need another thing to give ourselves shit about?

Heroes:

Great parents everywhere. JK Rowling. Every single one of my friends for one reason or another. Funny people. My family members, because they're all crazy (some legitimately, I suspect). People who loved me before I was rich and famous.

Deleting...

Let's face it... I'm never going to be able to keep up with 100s of people on here, so I've deleted the people who I don't think would notice anyway. If I have deleted you and you read this and are wo...
