About Me

I like long walks on the beach, a sip of wine over candlelight and driving around in my convertible with the wind in my hair … oh wait that’s not me – I don’t think I’ve ever once taken a long walk on the beach, I don’t drink anything involving alcohol, I don’t have a convertible and my hair’s too long to let it blow in the wind. *The real about me*: I live in Brooklyn. I have an awesomely cute pooch (as in dog, not belly fat). I don't like high heels, jelly, people who wear pants that are too tight for them thereby exposing what's knows as a "muffin roll" and when my dog pees in the house. I like Mac and Cheese, Diet Coke, the rain (as you can probably tell from my fancy schmancy new background), Woody Allen, Henry Rollins, movies/books/people that invoke intelligent conversation and that overwhelming feeling of joy you get when you need to use the bathroom badly and see that it's free. Media that has even the slightest touch of genuine sentimentality (or a hint of true love) brings tears to my eyes, I’m rough and tough and have a tendency to get kind of physically intense both in the passionately nice way and the hold you down and commence tickle torture kind of way (Hey, you’ve got to take the good with the bad –especially if the good is really good!) Coffee makes me smile but doesn’t really keep me up (quite sad, actually) but my hyper personality makes up for my immunity to caffeine. I’m an excellent debater of all topics, I can project my voice well (as in: to direct one's voice so as to be heard clearly at a distance) which in translation means, I’m loud.My Live Journal: For those who for some reason are really interested in "about me" MyGen Profile Generator

My Interests

Film, Hiking, Biking, Canoeing, Reading, Writing, Music, My Car, Futons, New York, Movies, the beach, nudity, The Book of Love, Boggle, Board Games, my ipod, my Doggie...anything and everything else that keeps me from going insane.

I'd like to meet:

Henry Rollins, Woody Allen, whoever invented Mac and Cheese so I can kiss them, whoever coined the non-word "conversate" so I can smack them.

Music:

It's too hard and long to explain ... Oh wow I could've made a lovely joke right there.

Movies:

Anything I've made! Umm no but seriously: The Princess Bride, Dead Poets Society, I just saw Little Manhattan and it was awesome, Rules of the Game, American Splendor, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Searchers, Bladerunner, The Notebook, Love Actually, anything by Woody Allen (especially Deconstructing Harry). Speaking of anything I've made: .. width="425" height="350" ..

Television:

I'm almost ashamed, this year has brought about the most television I've actually watched. "My Name is Earl", "The Office", and "Boondocks" have become regulars for me. I'll always be adicted to "Degrassi: The Next Generation" please don't make fun of me, though it may be warrented. It's on Nogin and it's just ... I don't know what it is, I just know that I can't get enough.

Books:

Lawrence Block and Bill Bryson get me in a tisy. I also (though reluctantly) fell in love with the Harry Potters. However, The Dragonlance Chronicles would have to be my favorite of all time.

Heroes:

Henry Rollins - I wish I could actually talk about the man but I get all tongue tied. He's amazing and if you don't know who he is you should check him out at 21361.com. AMAZINGAnd of course, Batman
