How I made my profile:
I used Dave & Jay's amazing myspace editor .) Garland is a new band created in 2006. Garland's music is a mixture of pop & rock with influences from world-music and soul. Garland's music is focused around the 2 beautiful voices of Ann Declercq & Jana De Valck.
Garland's music mixes up surprisingly powerful and danceable rhythms, unconventional chords and catchy pop-tunes. On stage, Garland has already proven to be an excellent live band, including a fantastic horn section. Garland switches from melancholic pop songs to extravagance, from sensual romance to passionate world music. Key words are passion and mystery.
Garland's lyrics are 'bout the ups & downs in love and relations, but fortunately, there is also humor and irony in these lyrics.
Garland's music is just a little different from the music you have heard so far. Imagine a pop song driven by tango rhythms, and you'll be close.
Garland's debut album will be released in October 2007. More details will be available soon.

Vote for Party on our own
The videoclip of Garland's debut single "Party on our own" has been
selected for the 'Puur Belgisch' list on Jim TV. Obviously, we would like
to stay in that list as long as possible. So, you can help us with that by
voting fo our clip. All you have to do is click on

that, it is necessary to vote for two other bands, but we assume that will
not be a problem.

Garland has recorded their first video-clip during the past WE. This clip will support our debut single “Party (on our own)â€. We wanna thank Liam Chan for his fantastic work. It was an exciting experience, although some sadness came to our hearts. Micha, one of the little doggies featuring in the clip, ran away. An extended live search was not succesful . . .

Wonderful "Wonderfulâ€, one of the songs of our forthcoming album, was chosen to support the famous television series ‘Zone Stad’. The song functioned to support the end of the series, and to be honest, it sounded great. Garland is very proud en happy with this. Check out www.zonestad.be/forum to see some reactions.
