I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

intelligent. witty. beautiful. gracious. modest. and deeply sarcastic.
I am not afraid of being brutally honest.

My Interests

Fine dining with fine friends, people watching, movie watching, making movies, accessorizing, over analyzing, napping under the sun, dancing to the beat in my head, searching for love in others, traveling, waking through the dark forbidden hours that lead to my early mornings, cooking, black coffee, drawing, sudoku, chess, backgammon, laughing with friends, smiling at strangers...

I'd like to meet:

open-minded souls who strive to reach new levels of honesty and understand the importance of communication to achieve a better understanding of themselves as well as others. creative and motivated folk who are actively living their dream and not just dreaming it. risk takers. adventure seekers. all others need not apply.

Music:

Aimee Mann, Air, Arcade Fire, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Buena Vista Social Club, Cat Stevens, Common, Death Cab for Cutie, Devendra Banhart, DJ Shadow, Elliott Smith, Flaming Lips, The Go! Team, Interpol, Kanye, Louis Armstrong, Massive Attack, Muse, Nick Drake, People Under the Stairs, Pixies, Postal Service, Radiohead, RHCP, RJD2, The Shins, Steve Winwood, The Streets, The Strokes, Sublime, Sufjan Stevens, Tricky, TV on the Radio, U2, Velvet Underground, The Walkmen, The Who, there is so much more...

Movies:

8 1/2, 21 Grams, Adaptation, Amores perros, The Blue Kite, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Garden State, Gone with the Wind, La Dolce Vita, LA Story, Magnolia, Ma vie en rose, Me and You and Everyone We Know, Punch-Drunk Love, Requiem for a Dream, Reservoir Dogs, Slacker, Swallowtail Butterfly, Taxi Driver, Waking Life. And all films by Wong Kar Wai and Almodovar.

Television:

The Boondocks, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Daily Show, Real Time with Bill Maher is quite entertaining, South Park, The Food Network (especially The Iron Chef) ... and despite my ...ahem... superb taste in music I do indulge in American Idol. don't hate.

Books:

The Alchemist, The Bell Jar, Ceremony, Invisible Monsters, Ishmael, Jonathan Livingston Seagull and Illusions (both by R.Bach), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Concerning the Spiritual in Art (W. Kandinsky)... I love Ernest Hemingway, Toni Morrison and John Steinbeck novels/short stories.

Heroes:

my Grandpa. my Mom and my Dad.

Gandhi is pretty high up on the list as well.
