I am here for Friends

About Me

I keep odd hours. I have a diverse batch of friends. I'm a bookworm. I pick up my phone for everyone, regardless of time of day. Give me any type of advanced warning , and I'll go just about anywhere with you. My family is something else; so smart, so crazy, so close, and I couldn't ask for anything more. My memory catches, and holds, odd information like comedy bits, but not things such as math formulas. I agreed to work Northern Faire for a jerkin. (It's a really nice one.) (Good deal Issac.)

My Interests

Sports and Books. It's always been that way. Mom read to me when I was in the womb, and didn't stop until I could read on my own. The minute I had any type of co-ordination I was playing sports. Dad made sure I always played hard, and played smart, and Mom always had a kind word for me, no matter how well I played.

I'd like to meet:

My old friends again, just to stay in touch. I'd love to make new friends who have the same interests as me, but it is always refreshing to meet those who think differently than I do, just to get a look at that side of the spectrum, so I am into meeting just about anybody.

Music:

Put it on, and I'll listen. It's country and classic rock if you're in my car though, and maybe some pop to appease the masses.

Movies:

Boondock Saints, Breakfast Club, Pulp Fiction, The Tremors 4 Pack, All 3 Major Leagues and Back to the Futures. Closer, Rules of Attraction and American Psycho.

Television:

It's good to be in a house with cable, again, although I have learned I am much more productive when I don't have it. No TV = more reading and writing.

Books:

So far this year I have plowed through 24 books. I'm well on my way to beating the 43 I read last year.

Heroes:

My mom. She raised me better than any human being could have done, and kept me out of jail, away from drugs, and out of the mental institute. I was a terrible kid, but my mom stuck with me, showed me nothing but love, and if not for her, I'm not here today.

Book List

Finally, I stopped playing video games and finished the book list of 2007. I destroyed the total I put up in 2006. So, here are the numbers. I read a total of 43 books. The total number of pages came ...

As I Go

I have learned some things recently. It is great living by yourself in a 2 bedroom apt. It sucks because you can’t pay the rent all by yourself. So I moved... again. Long story, but wi...

A New Place

Yep, after 3 plus years at my old place, I have moved out. It needed to be done. The whole story is a bit long to relate here, but if you ask me in person I will be glad to fill you...

The Last Few Months

I'll start with sports.  It's bad to be a Dodger fan these days. The team fell apart the last few weeks, and is out of the race for the wild card. However, the Angels are on fi...

All-Star Break... Baseball Update 2

It's good to fan of the California teams these days.  I'll always be partial to the Dodgers (my 1st sports memory is Gibson's home run... the biggest home run in LA history), but I must say that ...

The Promotion

After 5 years of dedicated service, 5 years of showing up early, 5 years of getting my work done, 5 years of doing just about every job that I have been asked, and getting turned down every time I app...

The Semester

What? What semester? You certainly did not tell me about this. Yes folks, most of you are right, I didn't tell you I went back to school this semester. You know why?  It is because I didn't want...

The Crawl Up from Rock Bottom

So, Alyse and I decided to break it off (this about a week after we decided to take a break). I couldn't handle being "on a break," and as some of you know, my body was not dealing well with the situa...

The Farewell

Yes, it's a farewell in fall. I'm going to be gone, disappearing into autum. Before y'all freak out, start asking questions, let me just set everything straight. I will be without a computer when I fi...
