Born in a small town in Eastern Ohio to parents of Chicagoland origins... moved back to Chicago... went to Larkin Visual and Performing Arts Academy to study trumpet... switched to double bass... graduated... went to Northern Illinois University as a Music Education major... switched to Ethnomusicology... learned to play the viola da gamba and sitar... graduated... moved to South Uist to study Gaelic, studio engineering and recording techniques at Lews Castle College, Benbecula... learned to play the mandolin and cittern... graduated... moved to Edinburgh to work on a PhD in Composition... updated myspace bio...Works of mine have been performed by the Edinburgh Quartet, Ben Wahlund, Kerry O'Brien, the Northern Illinois University Clarinet Studio, the Northern Illinois University New Music Ensemble, Eric Miller, Max Kiesner, Sue-Ellen Dubbert, Jonny Nobleza, Janet Hathaway, Henry Valoris and Jonathan Stuart-Moore.

Band Members: Mainly a composer, but I also play trumpet with 'the Occasional Flickers', percussion with 'the SoupSpoon Orchestra' and can be seen playing double bass and cittern in the Scottish folk scene from time to time. I also sing a bit, but that has thus far been contained mainly in the Chicagoland area and the Isle of Lewis...

movin' round

So I moved out of my thatched house in South Uist and down to a studio flat on Leith Walk in Edinburgh... quite a change, but I'm enjoying it.  I'm also going back to Chicago for three weeks on 2...
