About Me

Hi everyone. Welcome to the MySpace page of Mike Lamb. I really haven't updated my little page for the longest time - like a year and a half to be exact. Now for all those myspacers out there that change their profiles every week - I just don't know how you do it. I truly admire you. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, but its true. So, needless to say, things have changed from what life was in July of '05.First off, I am dating the most AMAZING girl you will ever find. Seriously, she makes every sunny day that much brighter, every sunset that much prettier, every good time that much more enjoyable, and every moment I get to spend with her, makes me love her that much more. Basically, I like her :)I am no longer going to Multnomah, but am going to Warner Pacific College and working towards a Human Growth and Development degree through their Adult Degree Program. I am also working full time throughout the week for the City of Portland as a professional computer nerd. On the side, I am helping out with the youth group at Grace and Glory Community Church which is lots of fun.So, that's my "about me" section. Hopefully, you know feel like you know more "about me". I know that I would like to find out more "about me" and be able to understand this whole thing known as "about me". Oooo. Deep.

My Interests

Kathy, friends, just chillin', movies, music, sports, dancing, hanging out, meeting new people, being with friends, coffee, girls, God, trying new things, going new places-- ROADTRIPS!!! Heck, those are one of the greatest things ever! I think thats why God had man create roads, so we could have roadtrips. Makes sense to me: you get all the things I just mentioned in one package. Its like a meal-deal at McD's only its at Bennihana's or Ruth Chris Steak House. Wonderful!

I'd like to meet:

I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!

There's a lot of people I'd like to meet, but I think it awesome just to chill with some of the great theologians and philosophers like Aristotle, Plato, Socrates, Paul the Apostle, John the Disciple and others. Just sittin' down with them and talk about their ideas and how they came to the conclusions that they did and to hear it from their own mouths would be crazy. I know thats pretty boring, but I bet those guys had some good jokes...

Music:

Coldplay, Keane, Frou Frou, Jack Johnson, Jem, John Mayer, Anna Nalick, Linkin Park, Nickel Creek, Garden State Soundtrack, various rap/hip-hip/dance/whatever. Pretty much every kind of music but country. I'm alright with groups like Rascal Flatts and the like, but I'm just not into the real twangy stuff (I don't even know if thats a real word, but its deffiantly in Mike's Dictionary)

Movies:

I have alot of favorites, but I'm going to say Boondock Saints and Legends of the Fall are two of the top. Others: Garden State, 25th Hour, Snatch, Fight Club, Man on Fire (I cried), The Notebook (cried even harder), Batman Begins, Crash, and whatever else strikes my fancy. I like all different kinds of movies (chick-flicks are quite enjoyable), except the really freaky movies. Take The Ring for example- watched it like two years ago, in broad day-light (we're talkin' 3pm) with the girl I was dating and I was totally freaking out! I don't remember the last time I just got chills like that. Little girls aren't supposed to be scary. They are sweet and nice. Not creepy and demonic. Whoever thought of taking an ordinary, sweet, innocent, little girl and making her a freaky, mass-murderer who wants nothing but revenge on the rest of the world and will kill anyone who hears/sees her story but doesn't tell others, defiantly hit my fear-nerve because the hair is standing up on the back of my neck just from typing this stupid thing....I keep wanting to look over my shoulder to see if shes there, but I'm trying not to......just did: shes not there. We're safe. I can't believe I'm typing this....

Television:

Don't really watch much of this anymore. So sad. I truely miss the good times when I could just chill and watch a little TV. We do have like four TVs in my house. Problem is, I just never really watch anything.

Books:

I like books.

Heroes:

My parents: they aren't perfect, but they've taught me more than I could ever give them credit for. I've had a lot of close friends that have helped me through tough times in my life, so I'd have to say my heroes are those people that surround me and are involved in my everyday life. They are the ones that I want to model my own life after....oh, and God. I probably should say that being a Christian and all, but I really consider my heros to be Christ-like, whose lives are characterized by the life of Christ (the Ultimate hero) in them. He is doing an awesome work in each of them and it is evident even though they themselves may not see it.
