As a doctor, I direct the children section of a hospital here in southern Germany. I love my job which is very fulfilling - it gives me a lot joy and meaning in my life. In my spare time, I do volunteer work in my community, focusing on topics infants and babies. Helping others is important to me. The volunteer work brings me as well to old people's homes - some of the groups I work with I am actually leading. Age is a very relative matter. Sometimes I see in old people their beautiful inner child - moments like that amaze me. Elderly people`s stories from their past are often filled with deep wisdom and it is a great gift when they share their experiences and inner knowledge with others. I love listening to them and feel blessed with what these people are giving to me.
