I LOVE:
Touring historic houses; celebrating the four seasons; taking a walk in the first snowfall; men who wear suits and ties; sushi; being outside; art history; the bright yellows and oranges seen on local trees in the fall; local and organic foods; the history of urban planning, including parks and transportation; gardening; decaf grande pumpkin spice soy lattes from Starbucks; driving slow on Sunday mornings (hee hee); coconut ice cream; being tolerant of those who are different; reading; home decorating; how the warmth of the sun makes everything better; buying things on sale; blue hydrangeas; cooking; taking a walk in the morning; silver jewelry; intellectual discourse; Brad Pitt movies; painted toenails; stolen kisses; talking and listening to my cat; vodka martinis; bundling up, sitting out on the back porch, watching the stars and smoking a cigar; celebrating birthdays; being loved.

I reviewed my list of favorite movies, and it appears I like those where the guy is persistent to win the girl's heart, and once he has it, he never lets it go.

I watch Cashmere Mafia, Lost, ER and Las Vegas, plus Eagles football. I like to watch PBS and am annoyed that I am hooked on such cable channels as "E!" and "Style" and "HGTV" and "Discovery." I'm thinking of adding "30 Rock" and "The Office" for some comedic relief.
Basically, I read things that sound interesting to me, be it fiction or non-fiction. I'm reading "A Clearing in the Distance: Frederick Law Olmstead and American in the Nineteenth Century" by Witold Rybczynski.
My favorite author is Jane Austen. I read the local newspaper every morning. I prefer to date guys who read -- nothing better than laying in bed together on Sunday morning, reading our own things and then talking about it.
