About Me

I started Place-Names as a sort of insomniac's past-time. Initially, the idea was to write songs the way one might write a journal - with the aim of completing an 'entry' a night. In the summer of 2006, I finally brought some of the songs into the day-shift by recording a 3-song demo that not-so sectretly wishes to be a first single. Two of those songs are available on this site.AFter spending much of the last few months trying to expand the private concept of Place-Names into more of a traditional band, I plan on using 2007 to stop that nonsense and integrate Place-Names into my own label.
