About Me

I'm a biped with an attitude

My Interests

I don't want to buy anything sold or manufactuted, sell anything bought or manufactured, or manufacture anything bought or sold.

I'd like to meet:

People who hate Carrot Top. Seriously. I actually want to meet people who hate Carrot Top. I also want to meet: People with too much time or not enough time or just the right amount of time. The Swedish Bikini Team. Taija Rae. George "The Animal" Steele. Foghorn Leghorn. Sidney Bristow (not Jennifer Garner). Kelly Bundy AND Christina Applegate (I swear they're the same person!). Stephen King. Larry King. Martin Luther King. Coretta Scott King. King Tut. King Kong. King Henry the Eighth, I am. The king of the Lilliputians. Prince.

Music:

Bowie, Hendrix, Janis, Marley, Zep, Floyd, Prince and all that 80s stuff that makes me feel incredibly old. Almost all new music is homogenized babble-pop repackaged in a pretty face and mass-marketed by soulless corporations to consumeristic lemmings. What happened to all the great ugly singers like Roy Orbison and Tom Petty and Willie Nelson and Mel Torme?

Movies:

In NO particular order: Reservoir Dogs, City of Lost Children, Wings of Desire, South Park, Dumb and Dumber, anything with Jenna Jameson in it, Three Amigos, The Usual Suspects, American Beauty, Rear Window, Pride of the Yankees, Primer, anything by Darren Aronofsky ... and Grease, of course, still rocks. If you can't be an athlete, at least be an athletic supporter.

Television:

Also in NO particular order: Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Dexter, South Park, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, My Name is Earl, Scrubs, The Office. Jericho, The Nine and 30 Rock look promising so far. BRING BACK DEADWOOD!

Books:

My collection of the 100 best Ray Bradbury stories, anything by Phillip K. Dick or Mark Twain or Edgar Allen Poe; Catch-22, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, Crime and Punishment, The Stand, the first half of Stranger in a Strange Land before all the communal love hippie shit, Blood Meridian, Phillip Pullman's masterful "His Dark Materials" trilogy, the way Terry Bisson plays with satire and social commentary in science fiction, and about 500,000 other books and short stories.

Heroes:

Wonder Woman, Spiderman, Superman, the Wonder Twins... wonder, wonder... wonder why this site wants me to list superheroes. I wish I'd bought more comic books when I was little.
