What is Scarborough Creek? Hah! The million dollar question my friends.Scarborough Creek is the musical collective inspired by and named after a wonderous place and it's splendid inhabitants. If one is fortunate enough to visit Scarborough Creek then there is a treat in store. The Fuaffles (don't even try to pronounce this or any other word for that matter) have welcomed me on 12 occasions and I have taken delight in every minute. But do I yearn to be back amongst them? No...the experiences I have had stay with me in a fresh lucidity much like that of one's experience of the present moment.So why did I write these tunes then? Well I wouldn't say that I wrote them, more they wrote me (classic line). No really, they did...and I'm all the richer for it. Anyway the Scarborough Creek kids (as we humans prefer) have fallen on troubled times of late. The Hills kids have begun a brutal campaign of persecution and of course the Fuaffles have suffered joyfully whilst their detractors continued to inflict blows.So this is kind've a tribute that hopefully raises some awareness of this wonderous place, its remarkable beings and their current difficulties.
