Cheese, drinks with little umbrellas, peanut butter, dancing (Salsa, Cha-Cha-Cha, Tango, Rhumba, Paso Doble, Hustle, Twist, Funky Chicken...anything to shake my booty), singing, travelling this great world that we live in and meeting it's inhabitants (we have much to learn from all the cultures), recycling, cooking, visiting with elderly people...love to hear their stories, observing and listening (really listening) to children and their stories (they fascinate me!), writing (published poet and have written articles for Rice University), reading and making people laugh and smile.
A friend is one who knows you as you are, understands where you've been, accepts who you've become...and still gently invites you to grow. Be a friend.

It was 3pm on a Monday we were drinking Rum Runners. Nobody was there except a Cuban that liked Cajuns and was getting advice on how to fry turkeys. He was injecting them with mojito. No, not the drink. A garlic and olive oil marinade...anyways Beth and I each bought a CD and had pictures taken with him. It was a lovely time for all! Back to music. hahahaha!!!), Gua Ja Ja (pronounced...wahaha, Afro-Peruvian singer. I'll spare you my Peru trip story), anything in those Time Life commercials with the 70's, 80's and Disco. Opera (Carmen is my fav)is so stimulating. Cuban music is muy caliente. Jazz is very sexy...
"Cinema Paradiso" (Italian flick)is my favorite all time movie, "La Bella Vita" (I have a thing for Italians), "Sound of Music", "West Side Story", "Sabrina" both original and remake, "Happy Feet", "Forrest Gump", "Amistad", "Singing in the Rain" anything you can basically sing-a-long to or cry the hell out of a Kleenex box. So many, so little space:)
Saturday Night Live, Gilmore Girls, C.S.I., Dr. 90210, VH1 "I Love the 80s and 90s", Grey's Anatomy, Everybody Loves Raymond, Will & Grace, Friends..the cheesier the better.
I read a lot of research on education. I love the classics. How can you not love Shakespeare (I played the Shrew in Taming of the Shrew. I got the part because of my hair...hahahaha!!!), Twain and Hemingway? I was delighted with Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, For One More Day also by Mitch Albom, 30 Days to Taming Your Tongue by Deborah Smith Pegues (everybody should read this) and Post Secret by Frank Warren. Pablo Neruda is my favorite poet...MUCHO PASSION.
