I started getting into music/d.j'ing from a very early age. My brother Stephen and i used to turn his bedroom into a radio studio, using his first kareoke machine as a desk! I think we used the kareoke function about 5 times! We used to play our mum n dads old vinyl and tapes(too early for c.d's!!), and record it, hosting with our chipmunk style voices!! There was a tape kicking around but i can't find it now, would of been hilarious to put up on myspace!! All my mates at school used to take the mick out of me for my music tastes, but that was only because it was so varied/random!! They were into 1 style or another, i was always into everything.(Housemartins-Caravan of love springs to mind,told you it was random!!) This has given me a love and a great knowledge of all types of music. I didn't take my passion further until i was about 18/19, buying a pair of Soundlab belt driven turntables.( d.j's u know the ones!! lol )It wasn't long before i got my 1210's!! From there i started building up my vinyl collection, mostly U.K Garage,(it was the most popular sound at that time!) but also house music that i'd been listening to on mix tapes/c.d's by, Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Boy George, Tony de vit(R.I.P) and other various compilations.I also buy the odd bit of R&b and Hip-hop that takes my fancy. My vinyl collection still grows today but i have also progressed into c.d mixing. This was mainly because i started doing private/corporate gigs,with Party Time Entertainment, in various venues such as function rooms,legions and even b.b.q's in the summer! There was no room in my car for all the vinyl,turntables,desk and P.A system let alone some of the venues!!This has enabled me to host and entertain all age groups with confidence. I have also played in lots of pubs/clubs as well as hosting/guesting on various pirate stations in and around London.(Freeze 92.7 fm, Love/Lush 107.6 fm, Mint 101.5 fm & the mighty Kik 106.8 fm. I currently have my own regular show on ww.hyperadio.co.uk ( Tuesday's 6 - 8 pm GMT and a once a month show on Fresh 90.0 Fm ( South Coast U.K ).
