After a long break caused by changes in the line-up, founding member Roger
Kirchner (guitar/songwriting) decided to carry on the band resolutely.

Death Metal bursting with energy with excellent guitar work is supposed
to stay a trademark of APOPHIS. Heavy melodies, melancholic to romantic
at times and typical for APOPHIS hit straight into the heart.
Brutal growls impart even more power and aggressiveness to their music
thus creating an opposition to the melodies.
The groovy drumming, loaden with speedy double-bass parts, changes in
speed and intelligent arrangements put the finishing touches to our songs.
Music and stage acting magically captivate the audience.
The band has been without a recording contract since the year 2000, when
an existing contract with Morbid Records was resolved on the band's urge.
