About Me

Hi there,I'm 27 years old and from Sweden. I'm qualified as a graphic designer and work at a printing company here in Sweden, yet currently working within a different area of the job rather than doing the originals for print. Not too sure where this will take me in life, yet bound to find out in future....... he he.
I've lived abroad for most of my life (Newcastle, England / Mallorca, Spain / Brighton, England), yet in August 2003 I realized that I had had enough of all the s**t around me and how I had wasted so much of my life trying to make others happy, so now it was my turn and so I decided to leave it all behind and moved back to Sweden. Having now made my own happiness my target I started listening to something that had always been important to me, yet something that I hadn't had the possibility of enjoying earlier........ rock music!!!
Straight away, I fell for the Swedish rock band Backyard Babies and spent the first year traveling around Sweden to see their gigs. I got to know the band and met so many new people who opened my eyes to all sorts of "new bands" that I would soon come to love; Mötley Crüe, Ratt, Brides of Destruction, Faster Pussycat, Poison, KISS, Alice Cooper, Trashlight Vision, Murderdolls, New York Dolls, Sex Pistols, Super$hit666, The Hellacopters and many more...
But out of all the bands around, there is one band which is truely close to my heart and exceeds all others..... VAINS OF JENNA!!!
No band has ever made music which has captivated me so and as I have been a massive fan of theirs since day 1, I doubt there will ever be any band that will take their no.1 place when it concerns me. If you've never listened to them, then you're missing out on great stuff!!! Click on their image links and check 'em out!!!
The collective foursome known as Souls Of We marks a new beginning for legendary guitarist George Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob) and Charismatic frontman London Legrand (Brides Of Destruction). Rounding out the line-up is powerhouse drummer Yael (Tom Morello, Alex Skolnick) and bassist Johny Chow (Systematic, Fireball Ministry). "Souls Of We is a dream band where I got to pick and chose players not because one is more famous than the other, but because I really respect and want to play with these people" states Lynch. The debut record "Let The Truth Be Known" features several guest musicians including, drummer Morgan Rose (Sevendust) and bassist Fred Leclercq (Dragonforce).
"One more reflection of life experience chasing the Hollywood dream while trying to avoid realizing the shocking and vicious truth, Ignorance is bliss and dreams do not always come true in this glitter world of sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll, A realization that “the man” can very well be the under dog and the under dog can very well be “the man”, but just roll reversal will never be the answer for nothing has changed, We’re all brothers and sisters, the Souls Of We, And unity we will probably never conquer in this dog eat dog world of betrayal and judgment, but if one can look to what has put us there and overlook the imperfections that hold us there and acknowledge the beauty in our efforts to communicate while trying to scratch to the top, they will be closer to realizing that we are all THE SOULS OF WE - London Legrand
Another heavy sound is also coming out from the swedish west coast. My "big brother" Palle and his bandmates Andreas and Tobbe are currently recording and will be releasing their second album this coming year. This trio are metal through and through and Tobbe who is the newest edition to the line-up has played in several well established and highly ranked bands (for example, In Flames). These guys are well worth a listen.... so check 'em out!!! ;)
Another swedish band ready to hit the stage with some awesome rock is the Gothenburg based band Damaged Dolls!!! These 4 rockers in their short time as a band already have more recorded demo tracks under their belts than what most other bands could even dream of and there's plenty more to come ;)
Apart from music, I take a great liking to tattoos and clothing design. I've also started taking up photographing rock bands as a hobby and will hopefully be able to develope into a better photographer with time and become a rock-photographer in future..... or at least be able to share more pics with other fans. I've now finally saved up some money so that I could get a decent digital camera, so now the fun can begin :-D
My life has changed radically thanks to rock music and having once been full of shyness and had a lack of confidence, I'm now looking to explore and enjoy life to the fullest........... ;-)
