DJ Knight performed at many different venues throughout metro Detroit. Some of the more notable clubs include: Venue (Dearborn), St Andrews (Detroit), Good Life Lounge (Detroit), Hockey Town Cafe (Detroit), Club Bleu (Detroit), Club X/S (Detroit), Panacea (Detroit), >Cheli's Chili Bar (Detroit), The Stinky Rose (Detroit), Monkey Bar (Ferndale), Gleason's (Southgate), Malie's (Southgate), Perfect Pitcher (Taylor), Red Zone (Melvindale), Rock-a-way Cafe / Ice (Westland), and many more including large clubs to neighborhood bars. In addition, DJ Knight performed at charity and community functions as well as Weddings, Quinceañeras, Birthday Parties and Corporate functions.
DJ Knight started using his friend’s turntables and collecting vinyl around 1997. Approximately two years later, in 1999, he purchased a set of 1200’s. He began making mix CDs and distributing them locally. This provided recognition and opportunities to DJ different parties. He entered a DJ battle in ’99. This additional exposure yielded his first club gigs: Bono’s and Rock-a-way Café. He has been working the club scene ever since.
In the summer of 2005 DJ Knight had a short-lived mix show on channel 95.5. It was called the reggaeton mini-mix on Tic-Tac's Freak Show. Two months later, the program director decided that reggaeton did not fit the stations format and put an end to the mix show.
Throughout the years DJ Knight released many mix CD's. Most of the earlier mixes where of the freestyle/club music genre. The recent mix CDs focused on current trends emphasizing hip-hop & reggaeton.

My Interests

Knowledge is Power:
I recently graduated Summa cum Laude in May '07 from WSU with a Bachelor in Business Administration focusing on Information Systems Management. I am currently enrolled in their MBA program and I hope to finish by next year sometime.

Positive People:
I try to surround myself with positive people. Positive people tend to push you to do better. Negativity breeds negativity and misery loves company. Negative people try to pull you down with them.

Everyone has 24 hours:
Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day. It is how effective and usefull you make yourself in those 24 hours that will keep you ahead of everyone else.

I am focused on my goals and work hard to reach them. I am constantly reinventing myself to stay on track to achieve my goals. Persistence pays off! Never never never...give up!

Measure of Success:
I measure success by the greatest amount of output with the least amount of input. If you have to work twice as hard to get the same results as someone else, that is not being successful. One philosophy to live by is "work smarter, not harder!"

Accountability:
Be accountable for your actions and inactions. Do what you say you will do and be responsible when other people are counting on you. I am a man of my word. When I say I am going to do something, I do it!

Do it Now!:
Good things come to those who wait, but what is only left behind the hustlers...

I'd like to meet:

I would like to network with promoters, djs, artists, nightclub owners and managers.

I would like to make new friends, keep contact with current friends and reunite with old friends.
