Rey is a life-long resident of Corpus and has played in many bands from Tejano to Country and everything in-between. Some Bands Rey has played in are Fantasia with Jeff Courter, DARAJIO with Jeff and Dave Jones and Remix. Rey can also be seen moonlighting with local favorite Lupito Banda from time to time. Rey's constant energy and skill keeps everyone in line. We call him the "Dictator." Rey also spends the time and effort to record the band live, which is why we are able to bring you the MP3's on this site. Rey is an avid golfer and can often be seen on the local courses perfecting his game.
DAVE - BASS
Dave is a life-long resident of Corpus. Dave was influenced early on in music by watching his brother's band practice in the family's living room. He has played in numerous bands in Corpus including DARAJIO with Jeff and Rey. Dave is beach lover and can often be spotted along the shores of Padre Island enjoying the surf and sun. Dave keeps the low end thumping in Remix.
JEFF - GUITAR AND VOCALS
Jeff is a native of the Cleveland Ohio area. Like most transplanted Texans he got here as fast as he could. A drummer at first (High School), Jeff soon started playing guitar and singing in local bands in and around the Cleveland, Akron/Canton area in the mid eighties. One band "Strutt" was signed to Energy Talent out of Cleveland and was able to play regularly in the Midwest and received radio airplay for their originals. After Strutt's demise, Jeff sold all his equipment and moved to Corpus around '87-88'. After a couple of years of not playing, Jeff started to slowly get back into playing with several bands, including Fantasia (Tejano/Variety), David & His Hired Guns (Variety) and Kwesar (Classic Rock). Jeff is excited about Remix "It's awesome to be playing some of the same great songs as I did back in the mid eighties. It just goes to show you a good song never gets old."
NANCY - ACOUSTIC GUITAR AND VOCALS
Nancy Smith is originally from Toronto. Nancy is a self-proclaimed "Folkie" at heart and is just as comfortable with her acoustic guitar as with a full band. Starting at an early age Nancy would practice with friends at various houses and play at local talent shows and high school functions until her friend convinced her to get up and start performing. She started doing a two person act in and around the Toronto area. After a few years of the "Folkie" thing, Nancy moved to a warmer climate (South Texas) and started a band with local musicians and hit the clubs as "Me and The Boys". After a few line up changes and name changes, KWeSAR was born. KWeSAR played in and around the coastal bend for a number of years before disbanding on New Years 2003. After a short time off, Nancy received a call from Jeff (Guitar Player for KWeSAR and now REMIX) asking her to come help out a new band he was in called DARAYJO.

THE PELICAN LOUNGE
UTOPIA GIG !!!
REMIX was originally a two guitar band leaning a little more to 60's and 70's rock, the band played for about a year or so until Joe (Guitar Player and Singer) had to bow out do to some health issues. That's when Ben came in on keyboards and the band picked up where they left off, but, revamping the song list and doing songs that they never thought possible. The band is now convinced that they can play a whole array of songs now with 3 part harmonies and the added fullness of keyboards. Keeping the basic format and adding some 80s, 90s and even the sounds of today to rock thier set list.
