Once upon a time…
There were two female souls living in a small town in south of Sweden. Without knowing that sound waves were about to bring them together, Katja Turpeinen and Sandra Rappéll went to a festival in Germany to feed their need of bass and movement.
On a crowded dance floor, probably somewhere between the left and the right speaker tower, they met for the first time and so the adventures of the Helltown Chicks begun.
Back home in Helsingborg they bought their first vinyl’s and after some months with heavy rotation and complaining neighbours, they got their first bookings around Scandinavia and Germany. Also organized their own club events "Hus I Helltown" in their hometown.
Time passed by fast with performances at different clubs, open airs and festivals like Fusion Festival, Tshitraka Project, Vuuv and Trolltyg. Followed up in 2007 with working for Tribal vision Records as label djs.
At this moment they’re probably preparing to serve you a progressive potpourri on plastic plates with a various taste of techno-trance-electro-house. So if you were in an area where it was energetic, electronic, moving and grooving it might be that you got touched by the chicks from hell!
