Here is a letter from us to you. Thanks for the best memories ever!
To our fans friends, families and anyone who took the time to listen,
We regret to inform you that Friday Mourning has decided to part ways as a band. We are all still great friends, and will continue to pursue our friendships with each other, just not in the capacity of Friday Mourning.
Friday Mourning was our lives for nearly 4 years. Everything that we did both together and seperately involved or affected the band in some way or another. We were like a family, with great times, crappy times, little annoyances and times of uncontrollable laughter.
Musically and professionally, we had a great run of things. In 2006 alone we got to travel to North and South Dakota, St. Louis, Cleveland, Cincinnati, New Jersey, New York City, North Carolina, and Florida twice. Already in 2007, we've been to D.C. and Baltimore.
In May, we won our semifinal round of the Real Music competition in Cleveland and advanced to the finals at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in June. We ended up taking first place and won the opportunity to share main stage at "The Fest" in Cleveland with the likes of Krystal Meyers, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Sanctus Real in front of 24,000 people.
Aside from traveling, we've gotten to meet so many great and hospitable people on our journey as Friday Mourning. We want to say thank you to all of you that took us in and "made us your own".
We love you and hope that you will still keep in contact with us, as you brighten our lives...
Through 6 different band vehicles, multiple break-downs on the side of the highway, the release of "Make it your Own", playing at the Fest, and the mundane, in-between time between shows, we have felt every single one of your prayers and God has blessed us with the faith to persevere in tough times and easy ones. We will rely on that same faith to get us through to the next step in our own lives. Thank you all for your prayers and support, and especially for some of the best memories of our lives!
God Bless you all.
