Tarik Hassan is a bassist, composer, and bandleader based out of New Orleans. He has performed extensively throughout the southeast and in Europe. Some of these concert venues include Snug Harbor in New Orleans, La; The House Of Blues New Orleans, Dizzy's in Rotterdam, Holland; and Kokopelli's in Savannah, Ga. At the 2008 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival he performed with UNO Jazz All-Stars. Tarik has performed with such great musicians as Ed Petersen as a member of The Test, Delfeayo and Jason Marsalis, Johnny Vidacovich, Marlon Jordan, Larry Willis, Irvin Mayfield, Troy Davis, Steve Masakowski, Victor Atkins, and many more. Tarik holds a B.A. in music from Florida State University and a Masters in Jazz studies from the University of New Orleans.
