About Me

each time I try and define myself, it peskily avoids pinning. but what always remains consistant is my optimism and idealism in/for/with life. no matter what, my experiences have taught me to love every day, and make the most of it. "me" changes every so often, yet what always remains true is my passions. I may wear many different garments along the path I take, but the path itself will always remain true. It's a straight shot to the end of my dreams. An end to mark a beginning :D

My Interests

Writing. Comedy. Music. Art.

I'd like to meet:

anyone inspiring, anyone creative, anyone funny, anyone caring.

Music:

My absolute favorites are: Dave Matthews Band, Tool, Incubus, Led Zeppelin, Mars Volta(and to an extent, Sparta) and Our Lady Peace. Noteable seconds are The Mayan Factor, My Morning Jacket, Chevelle, Cave In, Coheed&Cambria, Dredg, Flaming Lips, and FingerEleven. and Mindless Self Indulgence has to get props too just cuz they are so whacked out awesome.

Recent stuff I am into:
The Most Serene Republic
Thom Yorke
KT Tunestall and also Rachael Yamagata
The Stars
Blue Oyster Cult (so what, I'm a few decades late)
the new pornographers
muse
Broken Social Scene

Movies:

ahh I don't think anything good's been made since "The Edison Kinetoscopic Record of a Sneeze (aka Fred Ott's Sneeze)" ;) (don't worry, I had to look it up first)

Television:

For the most part if it isn't on Comedy Central, Discovery, History, or IFC I don't wantch. But I'm a idiot box baby so I'll watch ants make sweet ant lovin for two hours if it is the only thing on.

Books:

Authors that I like: Clive Barker, Chuck Palaunuik, HP Lovecraft, Stephen King, James Rollins, Tom Stoppard, Neil Simon, Terry Pratchet, Neil Gaiman, Dean Koontz. Getting into the classics more, as well as philosophy, but not enough yet to have a favorite author/philosopher.
Books of Particular Mention: Good Omens (Terry P and Neil G), American Gods (By Neil G), Diary (by Chuck P.)

Heroes:

Spiderman, Spiderman. Does whatever a spider can.seriously: Lance Armstrong. Not only is the man uber hardcore at overcoming adversity, but he's Texan! woohoo!
