About Me

I've been playing drums since the age of 10, with experience driving groups ranging from big band to metal, punk to blues, and country to funk.
I'm honored to be joining Alvin Jett and the Phat Noiz band as their new drummer. I've been friends with these guys for several years and have been fortunate enough to share the stage with them many times, so it's a fantastic opportunity for me to be making music with these tremendous musicians.I've also played with a number of other St. Louis-based acts, including 9-1-1 , Big Red G , Eric Ketzer , and Whiskey Daydream . You can hear some of my recorded work above or one any of the albums below:
DISCOGRAPHY:"In Case of Emergency" by 9-1-1, 2003
"The Life & Times of George W. Bush" by 9-1-1, 2004
"Whiskey Daydream" by Whiskey Daydream, 2007
"Varsity" by Big Red G, 2007 (forthcoming)

My Interests

Music:

Influences: Like any decent musician, my influences are wide-ranging and ever expanding. I'm constantly learning new things and discovering new music.Musically, I draw the biggest inspiration from John Coltrane, Frank Zappa, John Bonham, Les Claypool, Rich Lask (my high school music teacher and one hell of a trombone player), and my dad--my first drumming hero.Drumming-wise, I have stolen licks from all the greats but some of my faves are Elvin Jones, Terry Bozzio, John-Paul Gaster, Tomas Haake, Herb Alexander, Ziggy Modeliste, Stanton Moore, Mitch Mitchell, Van Campbell, Ken Schalk, John Henry Bonham, Danny Carey, Keith Moon, Chris Pennie, Andy Plaisted, ?uestlove, Kevin Shurtleff, Brain, John Stanier, Dennis Chambers, Earl Hudson, Billy Ward, Tommy Ardolino, Art Blakey, Brad Wilk, "Fish" Fisher, Brann Dailor, Chris Adler, and Meg White.
