THE GREAT SABATINI

About Me

The Earth and other celestial bodies hurtle through the galaxy at, like, a billion miles an hour. But, to puny organ sacks like us humans, it feels heavy and slow when you think about how fucking utterly small and useless we are on the planet as it turns on it's axis and flies through fucking space. The Great Sabatini want to communicate in music the agony of the profound realization that we are basically a super-vain brand of fecal matter that can talk and do shit that only serves to demonstrate our uselessness. We do this by using slow tempos, feedback, odd time signatures and four screaming mouths.
We like shit like tube amps, baritone guitars, kick drums without pillows in them, King Crimson, Black Sabbath, shards of drum sticks everywhere, smelly ass vans full of miserable fuckers and their gear, Neurosis, The Melvins and Today Is The Day, Beer, getting paid for gigs, doom, grind, surf, psychedelic, death metal, prog shit, feedback, 70's rock shit like Captain Beyond and Leafhound, 20 minute sets, places to sleep on the road, and all the awesome bands our friends are in.
If you haven't already, please get our debut ep "Burning Wilderness" at one of the locations below (also at Cheap Thrills in Montreal) or fuckin download it from a torrent site if you want, just get that thing playing at a high volume as soon as possible until the big one drops sometime in the coming months.
regards, The Band
Our cd is also available in Montreal at this fine record store!
