Thanks to everyone who voted for the Tv.com Herbal Essences 2007 TV Fashion Awards. With almost 50 thousand votes, I was unanimously voted the best On-Air Work Wear category winner. It took all of my salary to make my wardrobe what it is. And thanks to that wardrobe, I live in a tiny unfurnished apartment with clothes hanging from every loose rafter. And now that I'm winning awards for it? Totally worth it.
Every girl should meet the fabulously douchey Fabia (Of Fabia Cosmetics fame) at least once in their lifetimes. The make up tips she could provide, timeless. Plus, friends in high places get you extremely far. I hear Angelina Jolie has some kind of famous dad or something. Well no wonder she's where she is today. He must have hooked her up with Brad.
The Devil Wears Prada. If anyone had to replace me, I'd hope that Bradford Meade would have the common courtesy to hire Anne Hathaway. (Although she could never measure up to me. It's my hair.)
Of course there will never be any TV shows on this earth that could ever measure up to the one and only: Fashion TV.
I was on that TV show once. I was standing in the background when Fay Somers had fake blood thrown on her fur coat.
I have my very own designer custom made dress with matching hat. It's called 'The Amanda'. And it fits like a glove. A very tight glove. It's a gorgeous little rubbery number. Beans to all those cows at Mode who don't have their own dress!
Oh I'm all about the reading. Entertainment Weekly, People, InStyle, Rolling Stone, Vogue. And of course Mode. When you're a professional in the fashion magazine biz like I am, you just have to know these things. And know these things, I do.
Besides myself, and Wilhelmina Slater, I'd say Ghandi. Although I'd suggest a nice Chanel flat sandal instead of the tattered Lomans thing he's got going now. Also, James Dean. I only saw one of his movies, but that was one of his really early films. It was made like 10 years ago or something. And I can't find anything new with him in it. It's like, so frustrating.
